Running a licensed premises takes more than knowing your way around a drinks list — it’s about staying compliant, managing risk, and leading with confidence.
Our LCQ course gives you the essential skills and knowledge to legally manage or supervise venues where alcohol is sold or supplied. Delivered by experienced tutors, the course covers key legislation, host responsibility, and practical strategies to help you stay on top of your obligations.
You’ll complete two NZQA Level 4 Unit Standards — the academic requirement for obtaining your Duty Manager’s Certificate.

This programme includes NZQA Unit Standard 17285 (Level 2), which teaches you how to confidently operate commercial espresso equipment and prepare a range of popular coffee beverages.

Whether you’re working in a café, restaurant, market stall, childcare centre, or rest home, food safety is essential. This accredited course equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to handle food safely and meet your legal responsibilities under the Food Act 2014.
Ideal for those already working in the food industry or looking to enter it, the course includes one day of in-person learning followed by an assessment day. You’ll cover the key components of a Kitchen Food Safety Plan — including personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and temperature control of high-risk foods.
