Training for Employment
These highly successful, free programmes give you the know-how to fly through the application and interview process and and secure the job you’re looking for. You’ll be supported and mentored and learn new skills that match the needs of local employers. Programmes are available to NZ residents registered with Work and Income and/or who meet the requirements. You’ll learn CV and cover letter preparation, interview skills, gain on-site training experiences and the knowledge and know-how to not only get a job but to thrive in the workplace of your choice.
This is a 13 consecutive week programme designed for clientele who are ready to secure full or part time employment. Participants will need to be referred by Work and Income and/or meet the requirements.

The Training for Work programme runs for 13 weeks, Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm. (We offer a rolling intake for this programme)
This is a 13 consecutive week service that is tailored to each individual and their employment needs. Participants will need to be referred by Work and Income and meet the requirements.

The Employment Placement for Job Seekers programme runs for 13 weeks, Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm. (We offer a rolling intake for this programme)
This programme is a 20 week programme and participants will be in receipt of a Sole Parent Benefit and referred by Work and Income. It is designed to transition participants into sustainable employment through assisting the client to overcome barriers, such as childcare, and assist the client to move into employment easily and effortlessly. Content will vary as this programme is designed and tailored to meet specific needs while building on pathways to employment but will include the fundamentals of CV’s, Cover Letters, Interview skills and employment skills. Clients have the opportunity to gain their drivers licence if needed, attend short training courses such as First Aid certification, budgeting or what is needed to assist the transition into employment.
The Employment Placement for Sole Parents programme runs for 20 weeks, Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm. (We offer a rolling intake for this programme)

The Intensive Literacy and Numeracy programme is set per learner and each learner is expected to be on campus for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm.
